Please excuse my ignorance, but could somebody explain the main advantages of the CTRL:92 vs. the xone:3D? I mean besides the advantages of course which the xone:92 has vs. the mixer part of the xone:3D
My question is mainly focused on the midi control part and not to the analogue mixer part.
Thanks in advance
Odysseas

Hmmm, I don't think there are any midi advantages anymore towards the Xone3D.
However, please be aware that the duscussion here has started long before the Xone3D had been developed, and that there are people who might want to have a smaller (and maybe more portable) mixer then the Xone3D :)

As you see just below the message, this was posted in September 2004, so (unfortunately) this isn't true.

The Control 92 didn't happen past the concept stage.
I think 3D was the result.
If you want something more portable though you could go for a 1D for MIDI control only, or - if you want soundcard aswell - a Xone:2D.
I use a 2D and love it. you can use it stand alone to some extent, if you're only using a laptop and need to be portable, or you can plug the outputs up alongside any analogue mixer and get the best of both.
It's like a 3D, but better imo, if you can find a venue with a Xone:92 to plug it in to. But even plugging up to other analouge DJ mixers, with a bit of tweaking, you can still get something close to what you can do with with 3D.

Is there still no chance to get a CTRL? I can't really understand why, I'm very
shure that there would a huge demand, also if there is just one order where
everyone who want to buy one gets his chance..
